If you no longer want to feel the pain in your tummy and see your rounded belly, you have to find a way to get rid of its cause, which is excess gas. Trapped wind can be prevented if you alleviate the causes or the symptoms. The following things can be done:

  • Take probiotic.
  • Eat less and chew slowly.
  • Avoid fizzy drinks.
  • Do not chew gum or suck on hard candies.
  • Wear only comfortable clothes.
  • Write a food diary to warn yourself against gassy foods.
  • Do not smoke.
  • Do not eat gassy foods like broccoli, beans, peas, dried fruit, cauliflower, apples, and more. These foods vary from one patient to another though.

  • Ginger can also help reduce a bloated tummy. Just take a teaspoon of fresh ginger, boil it and take it with honey.
